Are you tired of all the negatives? Certainly there are difficulties in the world, but not EVERYTHING is terrible. Michael Johnson Books offer a wholesome alternative (and a good number of smiles) to encourage both young and old to become what we were intended. After all, it all comes down to a choice doesn't it? We can sit on the couch and curse the darkness, or we can choose to reflect the light.

Option Two is so much more fun...

The completion of
the trilogy is done.

The Story of Blue – A Rope Horse. From the pen of Texas writer, Michael Johnson, comes the tale of his three teachers, Shine, Joe Ben, and the horse called Blue.

Shocking but true tale of a little fellow named Tad Pole who struggles to deal with the stress and strain of being in the third grade. He lives on the edge of society and the edge of the swamp, (about 150 feet from Farm To Market Road 992). Family members include his brother Cane, (Cane Pole, get it?) and Mother Maybelle. And folks, she had really had a hard time. Her husband, William Howard, (everybody called him 'Bull') had been tragically 'gigged' a few years earlier by an unknown assailant.

Grandfrog tried to explain this senseless act of violence by saying, "Gigs don't kill frogs...people do.' Mother Maybelle asked Grandfrog if he would help Tad find a better path. Grandfrog agreed because before he retired, he had spent his life helping other frogs. (He was a Phrogologist.) At one time, he even studied under the great Dr. Sigmund Freug. Grandfrog helped Tad see the light, and currently Tad is doing well at Texas Christian University, (home of the Horned Frogs) and is majoring in biology... with a minor in Home Ec.
