Michael Johnson Biographical Information
Born in 1947 in New Boston, Texas, Michael graduated
from New Boston High School in 1965. He
graduated from Texas A&M Commerce in 1971 with a
B.S. in psychology, and received his M. S. from
Texas A&M Kingsville
in 1972. Michael earned his doctorate at Texas A&M
Commerce in counseling in 1974.
He is the
author of a number of award-winning books including

Michael
has performed over 1200 live stage shows in the past
ten years across America and Canada, and his
nationally syndicated magazine column, Throwing
My Loop, is read by thousands each month. His
stories of encouragement are heard on a number of
public and private radio affiliates throughout North
America, and he is the host of a weekly radio
broadcast titled Reflections
of a Cowboy.
Michael lives on a horse farm in Campbell, Texas
with his wife, Dr. Sharon Johnson, four roping
horses, ten steers, and their Australian Shepherd
named Rowdy.
